Can I break my contract? Print E-mail

Yes, but you should give a notice two month before.
If you want to terminate your contract, you need a letter of release from your employer. Then you can sign another contract and you don't have to travel to another country, like Japan to reapply for another visa. Your visa will be transferred to the new school. A release paper is just a paper saying you are free from the obligations of your contract signed and stamped by your boss. Immigration will not process new documents until they see either a release or unless the old contract has expired.

Other than this case, it will be hard to find another contract after breaking one. You'll also have to pay your own way back home. Remember, if you break a contract, your visa is canceled and you have two weeks to get out of the country. If you overstay on your visa, plan on paying a heavy fine.
