Can I work in another school if I want to quit my current jobs? Print E-mail
Friday, 07 November 2008 11:24
Getting a release paper is the quickest and cleanest way to get out of there. It just needs an effective date, the name of your school, the address of your school, and a simple statement saying " John smith is released from his contract effective today". And which must be signed by your superior

You should stay on as good terms with your boss and your boss should also try to stay on as good terms with you. If your boss has violated this, you should be able to explain to them that your situation is not working out and then leave. There are many good schools in Korea and you should not have to be stuck in some hole you hate.

How are the teachers expected to dress? Print E-mail
Friday, 07 November 2008 11:16
Each institute is different, but generally the rule is dress neat. If you’re a female, you don’t need to wear a dress, but you should look semi-professional. For men, a suit and tie may be necessary for some schools, but most just require slacks and a Shirt. Occasionally, there is a school that doesn’t mind jeans. It could be anywhere between casual to formal business attire depending on the school.

Do I need to send my original degree to Korea? Print E-mail
Thursday, 06 November 2008 18:40
No, You can take your degree in person to a Korean consulate, or embassy if there is one near you. They can notarize photocopies of the degree for you, but there is a small fee for doing this, and they must see the original degree. However, if there isn’t a consulate near you, you still will have to mail your original degree to the nearest one. They need to see your original degree to verify that it is indeed valid.
