I am a native-level English speaker. I have lived in the United States for more than 10 years, and attended middle and high school here. I am planning to spend June, July and August in Korea.
I have previous experience with tutoring. Last summer, I tutored ACT’s and science subjects to high school and middle school students in Korea, at Starr Education. I have demonstrated that I am able to teach in both English and Korea. In addition, the year before, I tutored one rising 8th grade and 5th grade students in math and English, for up to 3 times a week. Furthermore, over the course of this year, I had tutored high school students through PennScience Across Ages program.
As a self-identified perfectionist, I am also very attentive to details. This has become an especially important quality while serving as a Vice President to Penn’s Korean Student Association and associate editor for Synapse Journal. These roles demonstrate my ability to work under minimal supervision.
